Bend Glacier

Bend Glacier is the central part of the glacier complex called Bend Glacier on the north and east side of Broken Top. In the 1950s, the U.S.G.S. mapped three glaciers as one glacier: Bend Glacier. In reality, these were three separate ice masses. Bend Glacier still flows on the north side of Broken Top but has been split in two by thinning, meaning the glacier lacks an accumulation zone. While the glacier still has crevasses showing ice flow, it is now only a matter of time before it stagnates and ceases to be a glacier.
